The Seedance 2.0 API lets developers generate videos with ByteDance's Seedance models from code. Seedance Studio is a no-code web app; for API access the same models are available through Aiduct (aiduct.ai) as seedance-2.0 at $0.486, seedance-2.0-fast at $0.39 and seedance-2.5 at $0.486 per second, through an asynchronous /v1/videos/generations endpoint.

How to start with the Seedance 2.0 API

    Create an API key

    Sign up at aiduct.ai and create a key in the console.

  2. 02

    Submit a video job

    Send the prompt, model ID, duration and optional first frame to /v1/videos/generations.

  3. 03

    Poll and download

    Check the job status and store the finished MP4.

API or web app?

Choose the API when videos must be created inside your own software, in batches or automatically. Choose Seedance Studio when a person makes the videos: there is nothing to build, you can iterate on prompts by hand, and signing up is free.

API usage is billed per second of video on Aiduct at the time of writing: $0.39 for Seedance 2.0 Fast and $0.486 for Seedance 2.0 and 2.5. Check the current price list before you build, and prototype prompts in the web app first.

Is there an official Seedance API?

ByteDance offers Seedance to developers on its own cloud platforms. Aiduct serves seedance-2.0, seedance-2.0-fast and seedance-2.5 behind one API key with per-second pricing.

Does Seedance Studio have an API?

No. Seedance Studio is a web app for making videos in the browser. For programmatic access, use Aiduct, which serves the same models.
